I have been doing some form of needlework for as long as I can remember. I learned to knit when I was 4 years old. My first embroidery work was making dresser scarves (the stamped-on kind) when I was in junior high school. From there I did various forms of stitching. I first started doing cross stitch in 1980 and never looked back. My passion now is creating mini-cross-stitch designs and stitching them.

I have been kown to stitch anywhere, any time - from hiking on the North Shore of Lake Superior, to riding in the car on cross-country trips, when at meetings or waiting for appointments. My friends and family know that if I have a few minutes of down time I will probably be stitching.

I am a member of the Miniature Needlework Society and the Yahoo petitepointers group. From both of these organizations I have gained a lot of knowledge and made great friends. I am also a member of the International Guild of Miniature Artisans (IGMA) and NAME, and the Midwest Miniature Guild. The past two years I have been lucky enough to go to guild school in Castine Maine as a student and had a wonderful time and met so many great people. I have also had the pleasure of being a part of the Miniature Needlework Society group at the Tom Bishop International Show in Chicago and at the Denver Miniature Show.

The Victorian House pieces that I have designed are Victorian Houses here in Winona, MN where I have lived with my family for the past 28 years. My husband and I raised our son and daughter here in Winona. Now they both have families of their own and live in the Twin Cities area. Our son and his wife have a daughter (15) and son (12 1/2). Our daughter and her husband have a very new baby born 3 months early at 2 lb. 1 oz.(our newest mini). He is now home and weighs 6 plus pounds and is doing great.
